This is for information of all concerned that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) vide their letter No. SEC/SRMIC/94-15/764 dated 13.12.2010 has been pleased to accord permission to change in the denomination of share (face value) of Uttara Bank Limited (UBL) from Tk.100/- (taka one hundred) to Tk.10/-(taka ten) each as well as the market lot of shares from 5 (Five) shares of Tk.100/- each to 25 (Twenty five) shares of Tk.10/- each.

In this connection, the Board of Directors of Uttara Bank Limited in its 506th meeting held at 3.30 P.M. on 28.12.2010 decided to fix the “Record Date” on 05.01.2011 for giving effect to change in the denomination of share (face value) of Uttara Bank Limited from Tk.100/- to Tk.10/- each and market lot of shares from 5 (five) shares of Tk100/- each to 25(twenty five) shares of Tk.10/- (taka ten) each.
